Started to run. Turn right and cross the river after couple of hundred meters on Augustus bridge. Once on the other side I turn right on obviously bike/run path. Wide and with perfect asphalt. Checked the map upfront, it is around 6km to one of more distant bridges. Start meeting first runners. Rive Elbe provides beautiful setup, topped only by the hills by my left side. Copies of French and English castles overlook the river and the city. Just before Loschwitz impeccable asphalt is replaced by cobble stones. Somewhere around the house where Friedrich Schiller used to write it becomes asphalt again. Crossed the river on Blue Bridge (aka Loschwitz Bridge, or actually the other way round) to Blasewitz side. Coming back is equally pleasant. Still wet and chilly, but the surface is fast and runners around are friendly and return the salutes. One can chose between asphalt and dirt road. Sneaked under newly built bridge, passing by the steamers moored below Bruhl's Terrace (aka The Balcony of Europe), back to Theatre Square and the hotel.
At the reception they offer clean towels and free water for the runners. According to my GARMIN it was "plus 2, feels like -1 degree Centigrade". Had a great 13km run!
