Once leaving area of small cottages and allotments the forest opens to area called Horny Bankov in front of you. Run until now was on snow and ice covered dirt trial. At Horny Bankov you can choose how to get back home: 1) public transport, 2) dirt trial, 3) well maintained, wide, asphalt road, or 4) whatever combination of these three options.
I decide for asphalt road and dirt trial afterwards. Running downhill you take sharp turn left in almost 180 degree right corner. You enter another forest, on equally good asphalt road, but this time - no motor vehicles permitted. Therefore the layer of snow covering the road appears to be a bit of a problem. Definitely for my standard Brooks Glycine. This terrain is more sort of Solomon stuff... Once you get used to slippery surface, running flat and later on downhill, the road is perfect. After 3-4km it is time to leave the road and turn sharp right on dirt trial again. Following the blue touristic mark trial copies main road down in the valley. Time to give it a bit of stick! Am really pushing it here in the forest, but need to be careful not to break my neck on frequent icy patches. Am gaining speed, flying over the fallen trees, creeks, over the bridges. All alone in silent frozen winter air. Fantastic feeling of freedom. Running for 11km now with two, three to go. The path gets closer and closer to the main road. Leaving the forest behind trial joins the flyover. Valley opens. Restaurants, private houses. Last climb and in 10 minutes am home.
